Elizabeth Hashagen from News 12 and Erica Marcus from Newsday visited One North Mediterranean Soul in Jericho, NY and received a personal tour of the restaurant with a menu tasting from proprietor Anthony Scotto. According to Scotto “I spend a lot of time in Europe, Southern Italy and France, and I wanted One North to be inspired by the European Coastal Lifestyle. A place featured with high ceilings, a lot of white and a feeling with open air.” He also noted this was a special project because of the history of this building.
One North, the Scotto Brothers’ new Mediterranean seafood restaurant, debuted Nov. 13 in the renovated former Maine Maid Inn, a historic landmark in Jericho that was a stop on the Underground Railroad.
Ever since One North in Jericho opened its doors in November, the Mediterranean-inspired dining spot has become a destination. The parking lot is jammed even on weeknights and enthusiasts are buzzing about their experiences online, counting it as a coup for scoring a reservation.
